By accessing or using ClearCents ("the Service"), operated by MacMat Collective ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
ClearCents is a personal finance budgeting application that helps users track income, bills, expenses, debts, and savings goals. The Service is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.
ClearCents is a budgeting tool and does not provide financial, legal, investment, or tax advice. Any financial decisions you make based on information in the app are your own responsibility.
To use ClearCents, you must create an account using a valid email address or a supported OAuth provider (Google or Apple). You are responsible for:
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials • All activity that occurs under your account • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use at hello@getclearcents.com
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
You agree not to:
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service • Upload or transmit malicious code or content • Impersonate any person or entity • Use the Service to store or transmit data on behalf of third parties commercially • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
ClearCents allows you to invite another user to share access to your budget through an invite link. By sharing an invite link, you grant the invited user full read and write access to your budget data.
You are responsible for only sharing invite links with trusted individuals. MacMat Collective is not responsible for any actions taken by users you have invited to share your budget.
ClearCents is currently in beta. During the beta period, the Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to:
• Modify or discontinue any feature at any time • Transition to a paid subscription model after the beta period • Limit access or usage during the beta period
We will provide reasonable notice before ending the free beta period.
When paid subscriptions are introduced, pricing will be clearly disclosed before you are charged. Subscriptions will auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact hello@getclearcents.com for refund requests.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at getclearcents.com/privacy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
MacMat Collective does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data will be preserved without loss.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MACMAT COLLECTIVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA OR FINANCIAL LOSSES.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Tennessee.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
You may delete your account at any time from App Settings. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems.
